Musician and Singer Lee Greenwood is American’s icon and legend when it comes to patriotism. In 1985, Lee won two Male Vocalist of the Year awards from the Country Music Association and the CMA Song of the Year honor for “God Bless the USA.” This famous song returned to the country charts during Operation Desert Storm in 1991.
Lee’s American spirit continued to soar throughout his career. After the terrorist attacks of September 11, our country embraced Lee’s music with pride and tears. In 2006, Lee and his band toured Iraq and Kuwait to entertain and support our deployed Troops during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In November 2007, Lee was introduced to ONF’s mission to educate the civilian public on how to recognize our deployed Troops, Fallen Heroes, Veterans, Wounded Warriors and military families. As a devoted family man, Lee understands the need to support our military families and friends—the backbone of our armed forces. We are honored and privileged to have Lee Greenwood onboard as ONF’s spokesperson to help us thank our Troops! Be sure to visit Lee’s website to thank him for his contributions.
